What is Coaching?
Coaching is a professional relationship between two people, the Coach and the Client.
The relationship is formed to enable the client to do some or all of the following:
Ø Set new and better goals for some or all areas of their life
Ø To re-focus the client on what is important
Ø Develop tools and support structures to empower their life
Ø To complete a specific task
The Client’s agenda is paramount during this relationship
Ø Every coach has a different style and approach.
Ø Check around to find the coach that best suits you.
Ø Word of mouth is often the best recommendation.
Ø Do check your Coach’s qualifications
Ø Do they have Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Cover?
Ø Are they a member of one of the Coaching Associations such as the LBCAI, AC, ICF Ireland, EMCC, ICDN etc?
How does Coaching work?
Every coach has their own approach to coaching. Some or all of the sessions can be by: 1:1 face to face; in groups, over the phone by email and/or a combination of the above.
